Victorian Scrapbook with die-cut stickers, cards, advertising
c.1876-1889 untouched album of 49 pages with over 390 individual die-cut and intricately cut-out pictures of flowers, plants, birds, insects, horses, dogs & cats, people, spiritual wisdom, calling cards, advertising cards, and black Americana. The back cover is embossed dated “PAT. MARCH 1876”. The book exterior is deep royal blue with silver and gold foil embossing. This is a large book measuring 11 x 14 x 1-1/2 inches and ia work of art with each page artistically arranged in colorful themes. Looking through the pages you get a feel of the thought, time and love that was put into making this book so many years ago. The overall condition is good for a book of this age (125 years or so). The interior pages and content are in good vintage condition. The photos provide just a highlight of the contents. $125 |
